From the 1st Jan 2022 - The GGWAS is a COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate Society.
Due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19, it was decided at the Society's AGM in December 2021 that anyone, be they Archer, Parent, Family member or Visitor must show on request their current valid COVID-19 vaccine pass if entering the roped off area controlled by the Society. Those under 12 must be under the close control of a parent, to ensure the correct social distance rules are applied for the safety of all. A record of name, contact phone and COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate expiry date will be recorded by the Society and held by the membership secretary.
This is on top of our existing requirements that they scan in our QR code and provide details in the Society attendance book.
These rules will be monitored to follow any changes by the government, but will look to protect the society's members from infection as it's highest priority.
Society Rules updated the 5th April 2022
All persons entering the Societies roped off area visitors must sign in in the Society's attendance book, recording themselves as Archers, Parents or Visitors accordingly. This is a Society rule and has nothing to do with Covid-19.
The Society will continue to display the QR code on the sign in table as well as on the door of the container, scanning is recommended, but is now optional.
The Society will stop collecting Vaccine Certificate details, but request that all members inform Victoria (membership Sec) of their current status for the clubs records. We have a number of vulnerable members (or vulnerable same household contacts), and these must be protected at all times.
If you are feeling unwell, especially with Flu type symptoms, please stay away and get yourself checked.
