The Club
Welcome to the Grey Goose Wing Archery Society, we offer regular club sessions, beginner courses throughout the year, and continual help with coaching and advice.
Venue: Catholic Cathedral College, off Ferry Road
Club Shooting Day: Sunday.
Club Time: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm, weather dependent, sometimes later if the weather is good. We are an outdoors only club that shoots all year round, so dress accordingly if coming to visit.
We also cater for birthday parties and group bookings by prior arrangement, but do not do drop ins.
Beginners Course
You will have training from qualified and registered ANZ coaches.
All equipment and coaching is provided.
The course is suitable from the age of 8 upwards, catering for all abilities.
Normally; we run a six session beginners course, with the duration of each session being 2 hours, starting at 9:30 am on Sundays.
However; From the 1st October 2022, the club will be trialing a shortened beginners course of four or five sessions, extending the length of each session to cover both morning and into the afternoon, so bring some lunch and a drink. Detailed coaching in the mornings will be followed by a more relaxed session in the afternoon to improve on what was covered in the morning sessions. On the final session we hold a "Fun' shoot to put together all the aspects covered and to introduce you to the societies full members so you can find out what being a member of the GGWAS is all about.
