Dress Requirements
General Requirements for Ordinary Club Day and Formal Competitions
- Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times (e.g. Walking Boots, Trainers etc.) - no crocs or other footwear with holes.
- All facial piercing to be either covered by band aids or preferably removed, small earrings are fine.
- Prescription glasses, sunglasses, or shooting spectacles can be worn. But may not be fitted with micro-hole lenses or similar devices or be marked in a manner that can assist aiming. Should the archer need to cover the non-sighting eye then it needs to be fully covered or taped or an eye patch may be used.
- Length of shorts or skirts must be at or below the finger tips when arms are naturally placed down the side of the body.
- Recommended that long hair be tied out of the way.
Ordinary Club Day
- No formal club uniform is required to be worn.
- Non-baggy cloths is recommended so that when shooting, cloths do not get in the way.
- Appropriate clothing is to be worn, i.e. no midriff showing at full draw, no bare shoulders.
Formal Registered Competition
The Archery New Zealand uniform rules were amended at the January 2015 AGM, once the new rules become available the following will be updated. However, as the following stands you will be compliant. On the entry form to a competition, the requirements for a uniform are usually, but not always, stated. If you are unsure, please ask.

Options Available:
- No archer is allowed to wear a plain red top or hat, unless that person is a registered Judge.
- If inclement weather is declared, an archer may wear any sensible attire that suit the conditions, this does not need to be registered uniform colours e.g. waterproofs, extra clothing for warmth.
- All whites. Top and bottom, with shoulders covered. Length of garments as stated above.

GGWAS Uniform
The Grey Goose Wing Uniform is registered with Archery New Zealand and includes the following, see pictures below for the colour design of the garments. You do not need to purchase all three garments for the upper body, the choice is yours.

- Black or white bottoms. Length of garments as stated above.
- Maroon and Rich Gold Sports Polo shirt
- Maroon and Rich Gold Sports Fleece Pullover
- Maroon and Rich Gold Sports Track Jacket
- All upper body garments have the GGWAS club logo on the front (In gold) and the GGWAS lettering on the back (In Maroon).
- We are looking to add a black shooting vest to this with the GGWAS logo on the front (in gold) and maybe the GGWAS lettering on the back (Also in gold).
